Following the success of the initial training campaign centred on Abu Dhabi Airport (see news item Tuesday 16th February2010) the Fire Safety Awareness Training Campaign has been initiated also in Al Ain Airport. The initial training courses will be for the 300 strong Fire Protection Teams at the airport and will then move on to the other staff stationed at the airport. Abu Dhabi Airport Company (ADAC )has fully supported this initiative as a part of its health and safety training program. All staff and affiliated employees will receive both a theoretical and practical training of the hazards of fire and suppression techniques that can be used as well as evacuation procedures to be followed. This training is being conducted in the airport’s training centre by Santis HSE Group once again in partnership with its Strategic Alliance partner, The Emirates Institute for Health & Safety.
