The Abu Dhabi Airport Company (ADAC )has started a proactive initiative, namely training of all of its workforce in Fire Safety Awareness which is a part of its health and safety training program. All staff and affiliated employees will receive both a theoretical and practical training of the hazards of fire and suppression techniques that can be used as well as evacuation procedures to be followed. This training for more than thousand employees is being conducted in the airport’s training centre by Santis HSE Group in partnership with its Strategic Alliance partner, The Emirates Institute for Health & Safety.
Santis HSE Group and EIHS have been developing a range of courses for the airport to fulfill their aim of being First in Class in Health Safety and Environmental Management. ADAC endorses a team approach to meet their training goals, therefore has worked initially with EIHS to implement Basic and Advanced first aid training, which has led to further Health and Safety courses and services coordinated by both our companies. Because we have a strong partnership with several strategic partners, this has allowed us to develop and deliver a quality service based on the unique needs of our client which is valued by ADAC.
An example of this partnership and Health and Safety project, is the Fork Lift Truck Training Course which was developed for the unique environment at the airport cargo warehouse where careful handling of priority goods needs to expedited with both high efficiency and safety. All the fork lift truck drivers in the airport warehouse are receiving specialized training conducted by Gulf Asset Management- another of Santis HSE Group’s Strategic Alliance Partners.
